Late Imperial China is an academic journal established in 1981. The journal specializes in the Ming and Qing dynasties. It includes methodologically novel techniques in the study of political, intellectual, social, and gender history as well as historical demography. It often publishes work from historians all over the world. Articles include a Chinese glossary.
The journal is published biannually in June and December by the Johns Hopkins University Press. Circulation is 455 and the average length of an issue is 136 pages. Significant contributors include Christopher Agnew, Qitao Guo, Weijing Lu and Suyoung Son.[1] So far there have been 31 published volumes.[2]
